People counting is the use of an electronic device (traditionally called a people counter or footfall counter) to measure the number of people that pass through a certain passage or entrance.
The footfalls collected can be used as insightful data for making certain decisions such as;
- Room occupancy
- Staff optimization
- Analyze trends and evaluate your advertising and sales campaigns
- Good placement based on the customer movement
- Time of operation i.e. opening and closing time based on the time the customer visit the premises.
